Whether you want produce grown without synthetic chemicals, beef that’s truly pasture-raised, or you just want to know your farmer by name, here’s a neighbor’s guide to the local farmers markets and farms across West Chester, Liberty Township, Mason, Loveland, Blue Ash, Evendale, Hyde Park, and Cincinnati.

What to Ask Before You Buy

• Is this pasture-raised, and was it raised on this farm or a partner farm nearby?
• Are any hormones or antibiotics used?
• How is the produce grown — any sprays or synthetic chemicals, or organic/no-spray practices?
• Most vendors are happy to talk through their growing and raising practices — don’t hesitate to ask.
