Your September Guide

Summer isn’t quite over. Fall is already arriving.

September brings some of Greater Cincinnati’s biggest traditions together in one month: the WEBN Fireworks, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, HOMEARAMA, the Mason Heritage Festival, West Chester’s Founders Day and the start of fall-festival season across Butler and Warren counties. I’ve organized the events worth knowing about by area, with extra attention to West Chester, Liberty Township, Mason and Deerfield Township.

September 5–7: Loveland Art Festival, Keehner Park anniversary celebration, Ohio Renaissance Festival and the WEBN Fireworks.

September 10–13: Harvest Home Fair, Springboro Oktoberfest, Deerfield Township Touch-A-Truck and the final weekend of HOMEARAMA.

September 17–20: Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, Mason Heritage Festival, West Chester Founders Day and Finds on the Farm.

September 25–27: Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival, Liberty Township Fall Festival, Lebanon Country Applefest, Loveland Oktoberfest and Kings Island Halloween Haunt.

Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks & Riverfest

One of Cincinnati’s defining end-of-summer traditions returns to the Ohio River for its 50th anniversary show.

When: Sunday, September 6. Fireworks begin at approximately 9 p.m.

Where: Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove, downtown Cincinnati. Viewing also from Newport.

Admission: Free.

September 10–13 • Festival

Harvest Home Fair

A four-day west-side tradition with a Thursday parade, midway atmosphere and full weekend of fair activities.

When: September 10–13. Thursday parade begins at 6 p.m.

Where: Harvest Home Park, 3961 North Bend Road, Cheviot.

Admission: Thursday free. Friday through Sunday $5 for adults; children 12 and under, veterans and first responders free.

September 5 • Art • Free

Loveland Art Festival

Roughly 70 juried artists, live music and food trucks fill Nisbet Park at the festival’s new 2026 location.

When: Saturday, September 5, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., rain or shine.

Where: Nisbet Park, 126 Karl Brown Way, Loveland.

Admission: Free, including parking in adjacent lots.

September 12 • Cars • Music

Montgomery Car Show

Classic, modern and specialty vehicles gather at Montgomery Square Plaza with judging and live music.

When: Saturday, September 12, 4–7 p.m.

Where: Montgomery Square Plaza, 9999 Montgomery Road.

Admission: Check the City of Montgomery events calendar.

September 17 • Music • Free

September Summer Music Festival at Ault Park

An easy early-evening outing with live music, food, drinks and children’s activities around the Ault Park Pavilion.

When: Thursday, September 17, 6–10 p.m.

Where: Ault Park Pavilion, 5090 Observatory Circle.

Admission: Free.

September 17–20 • Cincinnati Favorite • Free

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati

Four days of German food, music and festivities take over the downtown riverfront at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove.

When: September 17–20.

Where: Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove.

Admission: Free.

September 5 • West Chester • Free

Keehner Park 50th Anniversary Celebration

West Chester celebrates 50 years of Keehner Park with an evening concert featuring the West Chester Symphony.

When: Saturday, September 5, 7–9 p.m.

Where: Keehner Park Amphitheater, 7411 Barret Road.

Admission: Free. Pack a picnic; alcohol is not permitted.

West Chester Farmers Market

A Saturday-morning staple for produce, local products and seasonal shopping at MidPointe Library.

September dates: 5, 12, 19 and 26, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

Where: 9363 Centre Pointe Drive.

September 19–20 • Liberty Township • Free

Finds on the Farm Fall Craft Show

More than 75 vendors, fall décor, live music and children’s activities make this an easy first taste of fall in Liberty Township.

When: Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where: Niederman Family Farm, 5110 Lesourdsville West Chester Road.

Admission: Free.

September 19 • West Chester • Community

West Chester Founders Day

Olde West Chester hosts a street-fair-style community celebration with food trucks, beer sales and local history.

When: Saturday, September 19, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where: 8930 Cincinnati Dayton Road.

Admission: Confirm with West Chester Township.

Beginning September 25 • Liberty Township • Fall

Niederman Family Farm Fall Festival

Pumpkin season arrives at Niederman with the corn maze, tractor rides, farm animals and outdoor play areas.

Season: September 25 through November 1.

Where: 5110 Lesourdsville West Chester Road.

Admission: $16 online, $20 at the gate; children 2 and under free.

September 26 • Liberty Township • Community

Liberty Township Fall Festival

A community fall afternoon at Liberty Park, conveniently located behind the Lakota Family YMCA.

When: Saturday, September 26, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where: Liberty Park, 6757 Yankee Road.

Admission: Confirm with Liberty Township.

Through September 13 • Homes & Design

HOMEARAMA 2026: The Estates at Bothe Farms

Eight fully decorated and landscaped homes remain open for touring through the second weekend of September.

When: Through Sunday, September 13.

Where: 9697 Cozaddale-Murdock Road, Hamilton Township.

Admission: $20 online or through the app; $23 at the gate.

Weekends • Waynesville

Ohio Renaissance Festival

Renaissance Park opens for weekends of costumed entertainment, food, shows and themed festival experiences.

September dates: 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27.

Where: 10542 East State Route 73, Waynesville.

Admission: Adult date-specific tickets begin around $33 online. Free parking.

September 12 • Deerfield Township • Free

Deerfield Township Touch-A-Truck

One for the kids: explore trucks and specialty vehicles up close during a three-hour Saturday-morning event.

When: Saturday, September 12, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Where: Deerfield Towne Center, 5503 Deerfield Boulevard.

Admission: Free.

September 19 • Mason • Free

Mason Heritage Festival & Parade

Downtown Mason comes alive with its annual parade followed by an evening festival along West Main Street and the Downtown Plaza.

When: Saturday, September 19. Parade at 3 p.m.; festival 4–9 p.m.

Where: Downtown Mason.

Admission: Free.

September 20 • Deerfield Township • Free

Deerfield Handmade Market — Fall

Cottell Park becomes an open-air marketplace for handmade goods and local makers.

When: Sunday, September 20, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Where: Cottell Park.

Admission: Free.

Beginning September 19 • Waynesville • Fall

Waynesville Fall Fest

Weekend fall activities begin in Waynesville and continue through the start of November.

Season: Weekends beginning September 19 through November 1.

Where: 7392 East State Route 73.

Admission: $16 adults; $14 ages 10 and under; ages 2 and under free.

Beginning September 25 • Mason • Halloween

Kings Island Halloween Haunt

Kings Island shifts into Halloween mode with nighttime scare zones, live entertainment, rides and separately ticketed haunted mazes.

When: Select nights September 25 through October 31.

Where: 6300 Kings Island Drive, Mason.

Good to know: Not recommended for children under 13.

September 26–27 • Lebanon • Fall

Lebanon Country Applefest

Applefest returns to the Warren County Fairgrounds for its 44th year with an inexpensive weekend fall outing.

When: September 26, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; September 27, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Where: Warren County Fairgrounds, 665 North Broadway Street.

Admission: $2 cash; children 12 and under free. Free parking.

September 19 is the day to plan ahead.

Mason Heritage Festival, West Chester Founders Day, Finds on the Farm, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati and the West Chester Farmers Market all land on the same Saturday.

If you want to combine events, the West Chester and Liberty Township options are the easiest to pair geographically.

Which fall festivals open near Mason, West Chester and Liberty Township in September?
